Raiders can now announce that Riley MacRae has flown back to Canada today with personal reasons being cited as preventing him taking part in the remaining National League season.
Riley made an immediate impact in the Gold and Blue and quickly became a favourite with the crowd for his activity and points production. A quality addition to the squad at a time we were struggling to get our NBT trio completed.
We would like to thank Riley for his time and effort with the team and wish him well back with his family and all the best for his future on and off the ice.
Signing deadlines, player qualification, visa paperwork and the not so small matter of cost will no doubt make a replacement NBT an even greater challenge than usual, but of course the search is on.
