The Raiders club are delighted to open the doors to all-comers at the Sapphire rink tomorrow as the entire club come together for a bit of hockey from all categories.
The Academy players will take part in a full period of hockey, and we will also see a game from teams comprised of the Raiders and Buccaneers. There will be 50:50, merchandise sales, and a bit of entertainment to warm up the ole vocal chords in preparation for the first pre-season challenge games.
For tomorrow’s showcase the doors will open at 4:15pm for a 4:30pm start. Entry is free to all ages.
At the end of the games fans will be able to skate with the players for a £3 fee.
After the skate with the players the fans and players will be gathering at the Liberty Bell, just 100 yards from the rink and kids are welcome to join us.
This season we are delighted to be welcoming the Liberty Bell onto our list of local business colleagues and we know that this will be very popular as we aim to use the facilities after most games, helped by the fact they do allow youngsters with no time limit on their attendance.

As detailed before our first home games are pre-season challenges against firstly Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday 9th September and then Bees on Sunday 17th September and for both of these games the youngsters are invited to attend on us! Yep no charge for under 16’s for the first 3 events at the Sapphire.
The season proper starts at home on Sunday 24th as the new kids on the block Solway Sharks are in town so get back into the swing of Raiders action to be ready for the first league and cup action of what will be a very busy season!
