With a strengthened British core already suggesting a further improved season Raiders are to continue the trend with a positive first “import” signing.
Raiders are delighted to welcome back 26 year old returnee Canadian / British dual national Adam Laishram to fill one of the three “Non-British-Trained” places available this season.
Adam proved to be a very popular asset to the team last season when he played as cover whilst studying in London. In total Adam made 12 appearances, scoring 10 goals and 10 assists before stepping back to focus on his university course.
In season 2021/22, Adam dressed for Milton Keynes Lightning where he made 61 appearances, scoring 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points.
Prior to arriving in England, Adam played in the USports league for St. Francis Xavier University where in three seasons he made 77 appearances, scoring 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points.
Prior to going to University, Adam played his junior career in Ontario , playing AAA at Whitby Wildcats before progressing to OHL where in four seasons playing for Belleville Bulls; Hamilton Bulldogs and Windsor Spitfires, making a total of 240 appearances, scooring 38 goals and 56 assists for 94 points.
Adam enjoyed his time at Romford as he explained.
“It was an easy decision to make once Sean asked me to come back.
“I really enjoyed my short time with Romford last year – the fans were great and everyone around the team was very welcoming to me. I’m excited to rejoin a great group of guys and build off their success from last season”.

Sean Easton hoped to have been able to see more of Adam in 22-23.
“Laish made a huge impact in the games he played last term. He averaged 1.9 points per league game and plays a complete game both ends of the ice.
“It’s an exciting prospect to see what Laish can do for the Raiders in a full season as his studies will allow a more complete commitment in 23-24.”
Certain to be very popular with the fans, Adam’s home, away and charity “own and loan” shirts sponsorship will almost certainly sell withing minutes. Anyone interested should email Mel at ownandloan@raidersicehockey.com
Welcome back Adam!
