Raiders are delighted to welcome 25 year old Canadian forward Riley Macrae who hails from Dundas Ontario. He joins from Evansville Thunderbolts who play in SPHL (Southern Professional Hockey League)
6’2” Left wing MacRae will add some useful size and strength to the Raiders and his strong shot and mobility are already noted amongst those he has trained with.
Riley played his junior hockey in Ontario Hockey League for Eerie Otters before moving to play for Cambridge Winter Hawks and then for London Nationals in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. Whilst there he made a combined total of 169 appearances scoring 60 goals and 92 assists for a total of 152 points.
In his final season for London Nationals he averaged 1.67 points per games with 32 goals and 57 assists for 89 points, which placed him just outside the top 10 points scorers in the league.
Riley then played for University of Western Ontario in Usports where he made 43 appearances, scoring 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points. He joined Evansville Thunderbolts for the play offs last season scoring two goals in his two appearances and made one appearance this season, scoring one goal.
Raiders would like to thank those involved for the rapid turn-around in his paperwork that sees him icing for the Raiders in both games this weekend.
Welcome aboard Riley
