Raiders are delighted to add to the bench and training staff this season the familiar name of Ben Clements.
Ben has agreed to be the teams assistant coach as well as working closely with Ethan and Brad on goaltender coaching, drawing heavily from his work with Euan King in the respected Goaltender clinic.
In addition, and as part of this, he will train regularly with the team in the event that we require a 3rd netminder in case of injury. Stranger things have happened!
Ben has a huge amount of experience between the pipes, has won silverware as a head coach at Chelmsford, and has moved his playing experience forwards into his goaltending coaching roles assisting aspiring net minders throughout the country.
We are looking forward to working with him again and creating a great working relationship between himself and head coach Sean Easton as we look to step up a gear throughout the team.
Ben is looking forwards to another challenge:-
“I’m really excited to be back with the Raiders for this coming season and even more so in my new role as assistant coach.
“Having known Sean for a long time now, I’m looking forward to working with him and learning more about the coaching side of the game. Whilst I will mainly be on the bench during game nights I will be helping the guys out when needed and provide playing cover.”
Welcome back and good luck in your multi-faceted role!
