Preparations continue for Raiders in the National League and Division 1

June 7, 2019

With all the NIHL teams meeting with the league management this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday it is hoped that fine tuning agreements can be settled in respect of the new National League and the original NIHL South and North divisions.

The “signing off” of a number of agenda items will mean that Raiders can start to proceed with some new ideas that we are confident will be very popular to our long term fans and the newbies too. Shirt sponsors, we are sure, will be pleased with some ideas that have been conceived specifically to make their own and loan purchases feel even more special.

Our resident design guru is keen to get his latest work on show for this season’s home and away shirts amongst others that will be unveiled soon.

Our charity traditionally changes each year and this season is no different but we do have a very local cause in mind and we are delighted to be working with this small but incredibly energetic and worthy group.

Promoting the Raiders this season will be a new helper and he is going to be very popular and certain to raise the profile of the team wherever he appears.

We have returning sponsors, we have new sponsors, and we will be working hard for these essential partners including a regular email bulletin keeping them up to date and in many instances giving them an exclusive preview of what is about to happen at the Sapphire.

The successful summer charity walk is being discussed again with our new charity walking with us and preliminary thoughts include a shorter distance but finishing at the Havering show. We have already agreed with Havering Council that we will have a presence at the Havering Show and we will be looking for fans, volunteers and players to attend and help us spread the word and copies of this seasons schedule and some promotional offers.

The weekends discussions should also allow finalisation of ticket prices and season ticket booking forms should then naturally follow.

This season’s charity organisation also runs fund-raisers of their own in Havering and we will be looking to support them at what appears to be some fun and entertaining events.

So keep your eyes peeled on social media feeds and see some more of what we have been working on since Coventry. Team building is not just about players but we still have a couple of those to announce as well
