Another new face to the Raiders, but not new to coach Sean Easton

May 26, 2023

Raiders are delighted to announce that the top scoring British forward from Basingstoke Bison last season, 21 year old Zack Milton, is following his former captain to the Sapphire for next season. This also follows his brother Danny who played between the pipes for Raiders Div 1 in 2021/22.

Zack has played the last two seasons at Basingstoke where he made 120 appearances, scoring 53 goals and 81 assists for 134 points, (including 58 appearances scoring 25 goals and 39 assists for 64 points last season). In addition, Zack made eight appearances for Guildford Flames in EIHL on a two way contract.

Zack played the majority of his junior career at Slough before moving to Bracknell aged 16 and was selected to represent Great Britain Under 20 at the 2019/20 Junior World Championships scoring one goal and earning a silver medal.

Zack has some familiarity at Romford as he explained:-

“I’ve played for Sean before through juniors at South East and have always liked his coaching style.

Seeing the team Sean has built in Romford I’m excited to be a part of it and definitely looking to bring some silverware back this season for the fans of the Gold and Blue.”

Sean Easton is pleased that Zack chose Raiders over several other options:-

“Milton, at only 22, is a young player that everyone wants in their team. Milts puts up great points and will add to our offensive line up with his controlled play.

“Milts will add an offensive punch, an eye for a pass and calmness on the puck to make our PP better.”

Welcome to Raiders Zack
