Raiders reach out to the juniors

June 14, 2021

Raiders NIHL National ice hockey team are delighted to announce a new membership card available to player members of the Raiders Junior Hockey organisation.

Current members of the junior set up will be eligible for their own membership card and that will allow them free admission into Raiders games when accompanied by an entry fee paying adult.

Raiders CEO John Scott explained:-

“It will be great to get as many of our youngsters as possible  watching senior hockey to enjoy the thrill of a live game and the booming Gold and Blue Army in full voice whilst we play some of the best talent in the country. We are hoping it will provide some additional encouragement for these prospects to complete their hockey education right the way up to the region’s most senior division. And of course they may learn a bit as they watch some of the many players that have progressed before them through the previous Romford junior set ups.

“We are obviously hoping to improve the connections from top to bottom in the organisation where we feel there has been something of a disconnect since we took up home in the Sapphire. This is hopefully the first of a number of initiatives to get the juniors involved with the seniors and vice versa. Some of the juniors have only taken up hockey in the past 3 years so senior hockey will be a new experience to them and we want to make sure that experience is with the Raiders.”

More details will appear on the Raiders web site soon including how to get your pass well ahead of the anticipated new season.
