After the long festive break Raiders are into a rare Friday game as the US Military All Stars complete their 4 game UK tour at Romford. Face off 5-15 Friday 4th Jan at The Sapphire.
On Saturday 5th Jan it is back to league matters as Streatham are visiting the Sapphire for their second league fixture in the new Romford Rink. The Redhawks will no doubt be keen to avenge the defeat inflicted upon them in their own barn just before Christmas. Raiders will be just as determined to continue the 7 game league streak and will have most of the absent players back to ring in the New Year in style. Normal Saturday face off “rules” with a 5-15 face off.
Sunday sees Raiders final league action visit to Peterborough where so far Raiders have registered one win and one loss. Peterborough’s 2-3 win at Romford at the end of November was overshadowed by a goal “scored” after the whistle was blown so Raiders will be keen to “right a wrong” and Peterborough will be determined to “win” their series against the Raiders in their own rink.
3 days, 3 games. Quite a way to dust off the Christmas cobwebs!
