Raiders continue winning run against the US Military All Stars

January 5, 2019

Raiders continued their impressive winning streak into the new year against a spirited touring US college All Stars team.

Raider’s prospects featured throughout the game and put in some impressive performances including a sound full game from Brad Windebank between the Raiders pipes.
All the other younger players performed credibly with Tommy Hugget on the score sheet and Ewan Hill, Callum Burnett, Daniel Hitchins and Brandon Webster all getting plenty of ice time. The game also saw a very welcome back to Mason Webster for his first game after his extended leg break recovery. Great to see you back Mase!

The final scoreline of 8-1 in Raiders favour perhaps didnt do credit to the visitors constant energy and effort through to the final whistle which was no mean feat considering the tough 4 game schedule and the travelling that had been involved. So we would like to thank and congratulate these guys for their visit and wish them well in the rest of their studies and their chosen career paths beyond their Military Colleges. Safe journey home guys and of course your supporting team, friends and family that made the trip with you.

Raiders meanwhile are back to business this evening (Saturday 5th) and expect to see the return of Dan Scott, Aaron Connolly, Ashley Jackson, Ben Clements and Julian Smith as key league action with Streatham Redhawks is on the agenda.
