Raiders are saddened to announce the passing of long term fan and friend to the many that met him, Peter Harris.
Peter lost a relatively short but brave battle against illness on Friday 10th June.
Peter was one of the most supportive fans a team could wish for, passionate in his love for the game and happy to chat with anyone that would listen. An ever-present at Raider’s games for around 20 years, everyone wanted to listen.
A long term sponsor through his company Actual Removals Peter retired from work well beyond the normal term, typical of his energy for whatever he did. Many Raiders fans employed Peter’s company for their house and other moves, entirely trusting of the man who had become their friend through the mutual love of the game.
Peter more recently followed his grandson’s progress through the ice hockey junior systems as always energetically enthusiastic about their shared passion.
Our thoughts are with Peter’s family and friends at this very sad time as we all grieve the loss of a true gentleman.
RIP buddy. Thankfully your suffering is done.
