HRH Queen Elizabeth II An unprecedented life of service.

September 9, 2022

As we all endeavour to come to terms with the grief following the sad passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth the second we are sure that hockey fans will understand the need to postpone our scheduled announcement at 7pm last night.

The Nation, The Commonwealth and indeed The World rightly came to a halt to give thanks for her life, an unprecedented life of service to her public duties. Recalling the many ways she had brightened our lives and reliving those times etched into our memories, for virtually all of us for our entire lives.

Our thoughts are extended to HRH King Charles III and the rest of the Royal family for the loss of the head of their family, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

Thank you Ma’am and rest in peace after an unprecedented and impossible to repeat reign of dignity, compassion and wisdom that enriched and shaped our lives.

Due to the sudden passing of the Queen, there will be some media, such as printed newspaper, where it is impossible to change time schedules and content. In that respect, and due to the appearance of our intended news within the Romford Recorder, we have taken the decision to release the postponed announcement at 7am today, Friday 9th September. We hope once again the fans will understand that decision.

At the time of this release we are aware that the games for this weekend appear to be under scrutiny for potential cancellation or re-scheduling. We are awaiting direction from our governing body and the DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) on this matter and will announce the decisions on this as soon as the protocols appropriate for a period of National Mourning and paying our respects have been advised.
