Burnett to depart the Raiders

July 8, 2022

The Everyone Active Raiders would like to offer sincere thanks to Callum Burnett for his efforts for the Raiders both in National League and Div 1 RJR as he departs the club.

Callum started within the Raiders junior system till the Rom Valley Way rink was closed in 2013. He then continued his development at Slough eventually being called up by the Raiders senior team whilst at their temporary home at Lee Valley.

Callum leaves this time after spending all 6 seasons in senior hockey. For Raiders’ senior team Callum has made 136 appearances (ranked 51st overall) scoring two goals and five assists for seven points and a clear progression from his first games for us at the tender age of 16.

During his development Callum has also made 40 appearances for Raiders 2 scoring 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points and also represented junior GB teams at under 16 and under 18 levels earning a Gold medal for the teams efforts.

He has had a couple of serious set backs with nasty injuries in his relatively short hockey career and has always attacked recovery with a clear passion to get back on ice and playing.

Callum leaves with our thanks for his efforts and admiration for the determination with which he dealt with potentially career ending injuries. We wish him the best of luck with his future hockey journey.
