With the re-alignment within the Raiders senior organisation, we are delighted to confirm that the Romford Ice Hockey Academy (RIHA) age groups are to return to named teams.
The titles will of course be familiar to those who have been around the Junior club for some time and this will include many of the present Raiders National squad who will have progressed through these team names during their own development. They are to be :-
Under 10’s Rascals
Under 12’s Raptors
Under 14’s Hurricanes
Under 16’s Hornets
Under 18’s Spitfires
Seniors Buccaneers
Some will recognise that the former senior team, the Spitfires, has name-swapped places with the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers was deemed a more “connected” name for the team through which we are sure many Raiders National players will develop over the coming years.
With the restructure comes the need for additional senior and assistant coaches and management / assistant roles to be filled and we will advise further on this over the coming days. Applications from interested parties can be directed to info@romfordiha.com.
